This marks our fourth consecutive year sourcing Luis Alberto’s coffee from Regalo De Dios. Luis is truly a master of his craft, and each new harvest we are simply blown away by the clean natural process profiles and incredibly high quality of his coffees. This particular variety is called Red Catuai. In the cup we taste pomegranate,  piña colada tropical sweetness, and violet florals.

Luis Alberto is a world-renowned coffee grower who has a special focus on natural processed coffees. His farm is located in the Mozonte Municipality of Nueva Segovia, on the northern border of Nicaragua. He operates this 72 hectare farm (about a quarter mile) as well as Beneficio Las Segovias, a mill in the area. Alberto puts strong emphasis on consistency and care throughout the harvesting, processing, and cupping; and is unique in how far he takes his efforts to promote stable conditions during processing.
